ECSA Professional Registration Process

I have been a candidate engineer at ECSA for approximately 9 years and submitted my application for registration as a professional engineer in April 2014. Receipt of my documents was confirmed by ECSA the same month after calling them.<br> <br> To date (5 months later) and after numerous e-mails and phone calls, the council has not yet been able to inform me whether my application has been received complete, appraised or whether i will be allocated an interview. <br> <br> The council does not respond to e-mail queries. <br> <br> I have two friends and three colleagues who have experienced the same issues and are also fed up with the lengthy process and lack of response from the council. <br> <br> I pay large annual subscription fees and receive poor service or no service. If registration with the council was not associated with the professional status and public confidence and recognition, I would seriously reconsider my subscription to this council.
