Don't trust this man

<p>He took my money and 9 months later only 10% of the work is done. My house is a mess no kitchen no ceilings no lounge. The bathroom he started to renovate in October 2016 still is incomplete no toilet no basin and tiles that are scew. Rubble blocking my drive way. This man is full of stories, excuses and empty promises. He is doing work for Wimpy and yet tells me he has no money ....and after pressure had been put on him from the lawyers he committed to complete all as per written and signed agreement by 20 June 2016 which also came and went. Now apparently he claimed he under quoted ...this guy claim to be in this industry for more than ten years....so under quoting in unlikely he only completed 10% of his written quote. He was very quick to get the money from me October to December due to deposits and things he needed to complete the job a.s.a.p. after that the problems started. I am single, unemployed and took my last savings to make my house comfortable for my retirement. I was also constructing to flats at the back of my house of which he calculated the cost and said I must give him the money he will buy the material because he gets discounted prices and because he has the house to renovate will keep an eye on the project at no charge. I had to negotiate the price on my own and pay the builders. He said he had no work for them so they can help me. Two days later he told me I must not pay the builder the money I must give him the money he will sort it out. This also ended in a disagreement between him and the builder. After the projectbwas under way he frequently ask for money for this and that and I start asking for receipts because I had quotes on prices and it didnt balance. He could give me receipts and this became a problem and I ltold him he will no longer by the material for my project. He was upset and closed up for December. He did thevcalculation for my pet projet and he was supposed to build the double garage for which he was already paid and I would add on a flat at my own cost and doing. He calculated the cost of the materials but had me pay all the costs including the doubke garage whichbhe was already paid for under tge written quotation and the money he took from me. When I realised what happened after it was to late I confronted hom and hus reply was.....I dont know where my head was. This was the first time I dealt with a white contractor so please be ware of him. I am a single, unemployed, female who has no finances left due to this man's miscalculation. The part of the garage he made me paid twice for funds was supposed to be used to completed the flat for rental income so I had no funds left to complete it. I have been unemployed for 4 years and needed that income which was explained to him. I wouldve stayed in a flat and rented my house out which was to be modernised so I could take care of myself. When this was not possible due to him not completing his contact I was able to find an Englush Teaching job in China in Feb 2017. I told him and begged him to finish and needless to say he didnt do a thing and I was stuck with a house that was underconstraction and partly roofed. I couldnt accept the offer. Now my finances ia so bad I am selling my furniture to pay my debt and have to sell my house which is still onky 10 % completed. I guess you know what this means.......losing all the way. This man has not run awayband shows hus face now and the but you cant trust a word that comes from his mouth</p>
