R6885 for bat removal and we still have bats

<p>In late March this year, I had a great experience dealing with a lady called Tandy from Ecosolutions who got her guys to come out and perform a Bat Exclusion at our house. A bat exclusion means to remove bats. It cost close to R7000 to do just the upstairs section of our house.</p> <p> </p> <p>When I asked if there was some sort of guarantee, she said they would come back until the problem was resolved. After the Exclusion we soon realised that we still had bats in the roof. They then quietened down over winter (hibernating period). </p> <p>When we heard them again I contacted Ecosolutions to get the problem resolved. Conveniently Tandy no longer works there. They said "The bat exclusion we performed in March 2016 was successful and bats are no longer entering the building from that point anymore. The bats have found another way to gain access to the roof. The team needs to perform a second bat exclusion to seal the gaps between the tiles on the roof. The team will install a one-way valve to allow the bats to evacuate the roof."</p> <p>The bat exclusion done in March WAS NOT successful. We know this because we could still hear bats after it was done. They said they would come out and seal up the areas where the bats are still getting in at a further cost of R583. And guess what, we still have bats.</p> <p> </p> <p>I do not advise using this company as it was not cheap and there is clearly no guarantee that it works. If there was no way to guarantee that the bats would be removed completely and the roof sealed up properly, I would never have wasted close to R7000 on it.</p> <p> </p> <p>As it appears on their quote to me, Ecosolutions promises a "strategy that focuses on long-term prevention of pests or their damage". This is very clearly not true.</p> <p>Avoid using Ecosolutions if you don't want to be **********.</p>
