WARNING: Stay away from ECONOMY CAR RENTALS and THRIFTY CAR RENTALS.

BIGGEST ******* and ******** with THRIFTY CAR RENTALS. I booked online to rent a car in Bloemfontein. A deposit was paid and I received a voucher which all looked legit and in good order. When arriving at the front desk at Bloemfontein airport at THRIFTY, a piece of copied paper was thrown down in front of me and the (very rude) assistant said: YOU DONT GET A CAR. The reason I asked? My credit score was too low, but I will receive my deposit back within two (2) days.

It was a huge embarrassment. The Afrikaanse meisie who claimed to be the manager there told my that is their policy, and I can leave now. I should have read it online. What my credit score has to do with me renting and paying for a car, is still a mystery.

After taking the matter up with ECONOMY CAR RENTALS, I was just brushed off with a cold email saying I loose my deposit because I dont fir the criteria for renting a car. That was after making a payment, producing a valid voucher, and having a credit card ready.

Then I asked my deposit back, as I was told by the assistant in Bloemfontein, ECONOMY CAR RENTALS rep****: case close, we wont assist you any further.

Avoid avoid avoid avoid. They, and Thrifty, are ********, they are *******, they are *******. And highly unprofessional and extremely rude. Just read all the other reviews.

Thanks to friendly and efficient HERTZ who helped me with a rental car within 5 minutes, with no problems paying with a credit card.
