Economy car rentals stay far away
Economy car rentals is a massive ****
I went to collect the rental car Budget in Witbank. According to my E voucher the amount payable was R830. The person behind the desk told me that this was just their admin fee and I still have to pay R1300 on the high excess on the lower excess it will be an additional R400 that would amount to over R1700 + R300 = R2000 We couldn't get the car because I don_t have R 15000.00 on my credit card. Now we are left scrambling to find a way to get to the airport. I find the service very misleading why not be upfront with the correct amounts? On their website it says 24/7 support, I have send emails since Tuesday the 30th of May still no reply.

Upon the pick up of the vehicle all car rentals companies require a deposit to be blocked on the credit card upon the pick up of the vehicle. The exact deposit amount is stated during the booking procedure under the terms and conditions of an offer and in the confirmation voucher.
If the deposit is not available the car rental companies offer additional insurance in order to cover the excess and reduce the hold on the credit card.
