Economy Car Rental calls me a "No Show"

I booked a car hire via Economy Car Rentals and when I did the only booking they asked for a deposit to be paid immediately and the amount was R331, then the voucher that they sent me clearly stated I had to pay another R335 at the hire desk, I read through the documents and it advised on access payments and other insurance amounts. I get to King Shaka and run off to go get the car as I was attending a funeral, I get there and the lady then tells me I need to pay R4000 deposit, this was my first time hiring a car so I had no clue about this and it caught me by real shock, I then asked her where does it say on the document that I need to pay that amount cause I told her I was under the impression that I only need to pay the R335 as they advised on the document to me. She had a look and she could not find anything stating that to me so she wanted to call them while I was there and I had to tell her to leave it as I needed to get to the funeral house and told her I will contact them to sort out. Then I tried calling for 2 days and their number is never available then I logged a query on their site, so now they reply to tell me they are sorry as they cant refund me cause I was a no show, unless I am getting senile, I remember standing in the Bidvest office at King Shaka and now they using the "No Show" policy on me in order to say my deposit is void and I wont get it back cause I did not rock up to the show. I am highly upset as if I was properly informed I would have been ready with the R4k to pay for the car but they put me in a position where I was unable to because of lack of information and now they keeping my money and putting the blame on me. Shows how some businesses make their money hey, keep this up and I dont see them being around for long. My fight is that this was not on the voucher sent to me, so how can I be help accountable for this, makes no sense. If it was in the voucher supp**** I would have seen it, I booked everything last minute cause it was a uncalled for situation and the last thing I expected was to get stranded now at the airport and then going to ask people to leave the funeral to come pick me up and the No show thing is really getting under my skin, I was there, in front of the lady at Bidvest, I dont care what your policy says, dont say that to a customer, if I really did not show I would have accepted my fault, say goodbye to my down payment and moved on with my life, but I did show up under false information provided in the voucher, if it stated R331 + R4000 (Returnable Deposit) = R4331 payable at hire desk I would not have fallen in this situation as I have stated it was my first car rental and i was non the wiser to what I need to do, hence me following what I was reading on the my Voucher provided :(
