EComm support of the products they sell.

I bought 4 Gel Solar Batteries from Ecomm Auctions in Rustenburg. During the first month of usage in my house the batteries started to give problems. They ran down much faster than what the batteries were supposed to supply backup power during load shedding. The Solar company who connected the batteries and who set up the inverter tested the batteries and informed me that they were unserviceable. The company from who I bought the batteries, Ecomm Auctions in Rustenburg had many problems requesting installation certificates, inverter settings and al sorts of photos depicting the settings of the inverter. I supp**** all the necessary and requested certificates and photos of the inverter. EComm Auctions collected the batteries. After many requests and reminders to reimburse me for the 4 batteries which cost R6600, they eventually returned my calls and reminders, stating that I did something to the batteries. Which is impossible as the batteries were installed and connected by a certified Solar installer. There was something internally wrong with the batteries because they eventually just did not take any charging anymore. Ecomm Auctions do not honor the warranties and guarantees of the products that they sell to the public. Please be very careful when buying any products from EComm Auctions Pty Ltd. because my experience with them is that they do not back the warranties and guarantees of the products that they sell.

Good Day Jan, 

We thank you for bringing this under our attention via social media, although we have communicated to you on various occasions on WhatsApp the findings of your batteries. 

These batteries were supp**** to you brand new, sealed in their original packaging as all of our brand new items we list on auction. 

We have communicated to you once you first brought your concern under our attention that the batteries needs to be returned in their original packaging so we can submit a claim according to the manufactures warrantee and guarantee policies. 

Unfortunately the returned items were not in its original packaging which is required as per the CPA Act.

Furthermore to try and resolve this issue for you, we have taken the batteries to three independent companies on our expense as discussed with you on numerous occasions via WhatsApp and all three reports indicate load cell error – 0% which caused the cells to be damaged. 

Unfortunately the supplier cannot process your claim as these batteries were misused and not kept charged as per gel solar batteries requirements as indicated on all three reports. 

We have notified you to arrange collection of the batteries from our premises as we cannot keep these batteries for much longer in storage. 

Ecomm Auctions is always willing to help our customers as you know per our clients messages on our groups, that we go the extra mile, but in this case cannot fight the battle further due to customer negligence. 

We suggest for your current setup to install Lithium Batteries as 120ah Solar Gel batteries are not suitable for your current installation and usage as the report indicate the extent of damage due to total drainage.
