A big talker who fails to deliver

We ordered three air conditioner units for our home through EcoGrid Solutions. They requested full payment upfront as they are a small company and could not afford the full layout. We paid an amount of R44 700 upfront in good faith. To date, the installation has not taken place. They promised to refund the money in full which also has not taken place. One month later we are still without our money

The owner is in regular contact with us providing updates about his fictitious supplier (whose details he continuously fails to provide us with and whom We cannot locate on Google) who he blames for not reimbursing hm so he can pay us back.

He contacts us daily with an update hoping that this will satisfy us. He provided a fictitious email address to his supplier to which I wrote and which email was duly returned to me undelivered.

I will happily repost a review if I am proved wrong and the money is refunded. I pray that I am proved wrong.

The owner is a skilled talker, polite, communicates with regular updates which are, in fact, no more than delaying and stalling tactics. Each day he provides yet another excuse. His truck broke down, his guys didn’t arrive on time. The pipes are being checked by the supplier.

The supplier has refunded the money he says. He has proof of payment but waiting for the money to reflect in his account as so on.

Please beware to any potential clients and do not pay upfront. Pay on delivery only or source an alternative contractor.

As stated above, I will happily update this post if we are proved wrong and he turns out to be an honest broker.
