NO AFTER SERVICE CARE and no Client Focus/Service

This company installed an Entry level Solar system in my house at the end of May 2019. Since the installation my power usage went up from R300 in a month to R700 every 3 weeks. I contacted Douglas Weideman (the person I dealt with) and it did not took him long to treat me as if I am an idiot. Electricity and Solar Systems might not be my forte but spending more money is in my mind a very good indication of something that is not working when you installed a system that is supposed to save you money. He gave me a lot of reasons but none of them made sense since we did not change our habits. I might have believed R200/month more because it was Winter and there were Power increases but not R700/3 weeks. He also send me letters that was written in Bold and Red - like I said - as if I am an idiot. I wanted him to give me training (up until that moment none was given) and he charged me R800 for Training and a System Check. I refuse to pay this since he did not inform me that the training and check will cost me money. It also turned out that this company does not provide any customer service post-placement. IN FACT I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE WARRANTIES FOR THE ITEMS THAT WERE PLACED. In other words, once the system is placed they will charge you if they need to come out. They did however came out once to have a look at my settings. Not even a month after I received the R800 bill a Battery "burned" out - it could have burned down my house - there were evidence of sparks. When I asked him if the "faulty" battery might have been the reason why the system pulled so much power he declined this theory. In fact how did they check the system if the battery "burned" out. He now does not answer my phone calls or reply like promised when I am lucky to "catch" him. My usage went down to a normal R300/month (10 units a day) after the solar system was shut down in August. It also happened that the burned-out battery will not be replaced by this company - his advice was that I have to claim it on my insurance - which was wrong advice. In the end I contacted the company who's batteries it were. It turned out that a reason why the Battery appeared to burn out could be because of a faulty installment. These people came to my house and did an ASSESSMENT AND INSTALLMENT of the new Battery FOR FREE. It is now 2 weeks after the placement of the new battery. We now use 4 units of power on a normal day - including cloudy days.
