******** Institution only taking care of their own finances!! Stay away!

This company is working very closely with the ombudsman for short term insurance - accusing clients of LYING and taking the word of non-apple certified technicians (also appointed by the insurance companies) on what happened to your device. One huge mafia teaming up to ***** client's money!!! Stay very far away from them all! MFC or Zenith are much better options.

Good Morning Mrs Beukes

Thank you for the email received, we have responded via email but will publish here as well.

We have had a chance to review the contents of the claim and note that according to your claim form the laptop’s screen was “making funny lines for a few weeks” until one day when the screen was lightly knocked against a table.

Your report from Digicape, who are approved Apple Suppliers and Technicians, states that there is no extensive physical damage or cracking to the display, however it is faulty. They then go on to mention that they cannot confirm if the cause of the display acting up is related to the “small dent”.

As a result, we appointed our service provider who assessed the laptop and supports the finding from Digicape that the Display is faulty, however, they go on to state that it is due to wear and tear. This also corroborates your statement that the screen was “making funny lines for a few weeks”.

We subsequently then rejected the claim as wear and tear and gradual deterioration is excluded in terms of the policy; a decision that was upheld by the Ombudsman.

We are therefore unable to assist further, and our file has been closed.

Kind Regards,

Echelon PCI
