eBay - Don't care attitude

I purchased a few items from eBay even paid for shipment - 6 months went buy - never got the items - I complained to eBay a number of times - they just don't care. I paid them directly using my credit card - they once referred me to claim from PayPal but I got no help - Is their any alternative as am battling for over 2 years now
