Camera Lens

Paid upfront for a 500/1000 Camera Lens. Submitted all details and model numbers they requested. A Lens arrived but the the adaptor does not have the digital connections which makes the lens obsolete & useless. Have attempted to "make contact" with ebay by various means - to no avail !. Totally ignored !. Is this how ebay and the online companies make their money ??.
