Electricity recharge pin invalid
On 10 June I purchased R1 000.00 electricity from EasyPay. Receipt received with recharge pin. When recharge pin is entered into my prepaid electricity meter it isn't accepted. I called EasyPay (REFERENCE ***) and after numerous discussions with their Customer Care Support Centre I was told that I needed to speak with my municipality. I took my complaint to Ekurhuleni and they provided evidence that they never received an instruction from EasyPay on the date of my purchase and therefore can't trace the recharge pin provided. I relayed the message to EasyPay and was given conflicting information on how to proceed. I spoke with a gentleman at EasyPay who called Ekurhuleni (REFERENCE ***) and I was told that technicians would visit my home within 24 hours. 72 hours later I am yet to receive a visit from Ekurhuleni. I contacted Absa and they confirmed that the R1 000.00 was deducted from my credit card. I asked EasyPay to either credit the R1 000.00 to my account so that I could repurchase the electricity and/or refund the R1 000.00. Neither EasyPay nor Ekurhuleni want to take responsibility and I am R1 000.00 out of pocket. I need this matter resolved urgently.
