EasyMoney Kitchens
ELK installed our new kitchen in early 2024. The process of selecting and designing their units took several weeks and installation was completed in April 2024. The entire exercise cost over R400,000 of which the biggest part was ELK units. Despite this outlay we were told by ELK, ONLY ON COMPLETION OF THE WORK that the units under the main sink unit had to be protected from water spillage or there would be water damage. We have now learnt that these units were available in other colours that ARE WATERPROOF but this was NOT mentioned by ELK during the sales/design process.
So, we have a large cupboard under the sink that is not waterproof. We thought ELK were supposed not to be a cheap kitchen company.
Already, the under sink units (9 months later) have water damage. The reposne of ELK when we reported this to them was that it was due to our negligence. They overlooked their negligence in not telling us about the lack of waterproofing on out under sink units, of course.
We are currently in conversation with them about this but they seem intent on selling us new units rather than admitting their negligence in not telling us about their unwaterproofed undersink units at POS.
I'll leave you to judge whether we'd recommend them for their products, presales or aftersales services.
