Not suitable for corporate travel
We booked Easycab for a corporate transfer from Polokwane to Beitbridge and back. The service provided was not suitable for corporate travel. The vehicle was effectively a minibus taxi being used as a shuttle. It had a strong unpleasant odour and the air-conditioning was not working properly, so the driver drove with the windows open. This was not acceptable for a R12,000 corporate transfer, especially as we were transporting an external business guest. The bigger concern was safety. During the trip, the driver used his phone while driving, braked aggressively, failed to maintain a safe following distance, and overtook on solid lines. We raised the issue with Easycab, but based on the standard of vehicle and driver conduct experienced, I would not use them again for corporate, executive, guest or cross-border business travel.
