Quickbooks service demise.

Intuit"s decision to end Quickbooks Desktop here in South Africa at the end of July 2021 is a bad one in my opinion , probably taken by people who don't understand how business has to survive these days under the current conditions. They are insisting that we use online through their partner easy biz in JHB, The problem is Online costs are going to rise drastically after the move by International Governments to impose new Tax rules on Multinationals (more costs), so the end result will be a diminished online services as people resist paying these increased costs and find other ways to run their businesss. Why cant Intuit allow us to just continue using Quickbooks desktop with maybe an upgrade charge now and again. Apart from the increased costs of online that will surely happen as I have just mentioned , what about all the cyber hacking thats going on. Online is not an option at the moment .

Thanks Nicholas. intuit is looking at, and planning for the future. The world is going digital that has been accelerated by the current conditions. Change is inevitable that everyone should embrace. We unfortunately do not have a crystal ball wrt costs. Security has, and will always be a concern for anyone that uses a PC, etc. QuickBooks online is extremely secure, however , everyone needs to ensure they have up to date protection / security on their systems to strengthen their security.
