quickbook has joined the league of *******
<p>I purchased quickbooks in September 2014 and added a user in June 2015. At no point was i told that there is no support for quickbooks 2014 or it did not work on Windows 10. I asked how long I would be able to use the programme and was told that it belonged to me and there would not be any limitations. The programme has worked for over a year now on Windows 10 with no Issues. Since the last Windows updates, quickbooks has become unresponsive. I tried reinstalling the programme and then received a message that quickbooks 2014 needs to be upgraded to 2015 or later and there is no support for 2014. I called the quickbooks office and to rectify the matter involves purchasing quickbooks 2015 or later at a cost of more than R5000.00. As a small business, I feel that it is unfair to expect me to pay over R5000.00 for usability of a programme that I have already spent almost R5000 on initially.</p>
Support for QuickBooks 2014 only stopped on the 31st of December 2015 and communication was sent out about this to our entire database during the course of last year , we are happy to resend this communication through to you.When you initially purchased the 2014 package,it also clearly states on the box that our supported versions policy is the current version and 1 version back which means that as new versions are released, support for older versions will cease - this does not mean that you are unable to use your product anymore.
We can unfortunately not predict how our programs will react to future releases / upgrades of Windows operating systems. As with all software, there are operating and system requirements provided when you purchase the product and it is the users responsibility to ensure that those system requirements are met – the system requirements for QuickBooks 2014 have not changed and those system requirements do not include Windows 10 .The product will still operate as it is meant to, provided that the operating system requirements are met.The official release date for Windows 10 was on the 29th of July 2015 and to date, only the 2015 and 2016 versions of QuickBooks have been made compatible to run on Windows 10. The fact that you were able to run your 2014 version on Windows 10 for the past 9 ½ months is great but unfortunately it would appear that this has now been affected by product updates which are out of our control and as much as we are willing to assist you in getting your product up and running again on Windows 10, we are unable to do that as Windows 10 is not a system requirement for QuickBooks 2014.You are obviously welcome to revert back to your previous Windows operating system in order to use your QuickBooks 2014 product to its full capacity again but we would recommend upgrading to one of our later versions .
