No feedback for more than a week

I did an application more than a week ago. I received an email only yesterday advising me that I am declined and they called my company and was informed that no one knew me. I found it quite strange as I have been employed here for quite some time and even emailed them from my work email. <br> <br> I had advised that I was away on leave and they could have spoken to the new receptionist. I advised them to please call and speak to my HR so I can get a response. I called them again and was told I have to start the whole process again.<br> <br> The attitude and service I have been receiving is extremely horrible.<br> <br> All I want to know is if they can help me or not. This should not take 2 weeks.
