EasyEquities is lying to you about its Thrive benefits
Since I have registered my account, I have maxed my thrive level to 100% to receive the maximum discount on Thrive stocks. However in May, I noticed certain stocks that were advertised as Thrive stocks, and had been Thrive stocks for a long time, were not receiving the benefit anymore.
I logged a ticket 12 May, and only received a response from Client Experience Consultant Mamotsoari Mo***eng on the 26 May (at 11pm), only responding to one of the Thrive stocks saying it was removed as a Thrive stock for the month of May (I included this one stock as a screenshot of the benefit valid in April but not in May). However, in June, this same stock and all the others are still listed and advertised as Thrive stocks on their platform as of this moment. And yet, despite me having a 100% Thrive brokerage discount for June, they are still not giving the benefit on these stocks. Examples of the these stocks are: Satrix S&P 500, Satrix MSCI World, Microsoft, Google Alphabet, Apple, etc.
I find this outright dishonesty deeply unsettling. As someone who works in the financial sector I am appalled at the lack of communication and dishonesty and will be submitting a report to the FSCA ans FAIS Ombudsman.
If you are a Thrive user I suggest you check your receipts to see if you have been affected similarly. I’m uncertain if it’s all users or a subset of users, or even all stocks or a subset of stocks. Other Thrive stocks such as Standard Bank and Naspers have remained Thrive whereas other advertised Thrive stocks have not, so there’s no real transparency on what is and isn’t Thrive anymore.
