Easy Equity Confusing App Pitfalls
I have had the worst experience with Easy Equities. Not only did I lose money with a finger press, I battled for ever to get my money out of them. First of all they do not have a true support system so you are essentially dealing with people with no names behind closed doors in a building that doesn't exist. Secondly the App is so confusing that you should first read all the the help instructions before you do anything on the App. I was buying shares on my Demo Account just to see how the shares work. The next moment R5000 was deducted off my actual bank account. After phoning the bank and speaking to them I was given a phone number to phone. I phoned. Nobody picked up. I did get through to them eventually, but they advised me to go and see the bank. I went to see the bank and the financial advisor helped me. She went so far out of her way to try and resolve my issue. At the end Easy Equities still didn't give my money back. Instead I now owned shared which already dropped in value with R350! I realized I had to sell it. So I did. Waited 5 days and my money was released. So all I had to do now was to Transfer my money from the Funds account to my Bank account. So I go to transfer select From-account as the Funds account and the Capitec Account as the To-account. I transfer the money. BIG MISTAKE!!!! Now the money is sitting in the TFSA account. What ever that means. The lady on the phone at Easy Equities tells me I'm supposed to Withdraw not Transfer. Now I have to raise another Ticket for help and wait up to 36 hours for my query to be sorted. I still don't have my money. Guess I walking home tonight and sitting in the dark, since I don't have money for petrol or electricity. Thank you Easy Equity!!
