Buggy and Questionable Security. Lost Value of Investment Due to App Glitch.

A stock I had invested in glitched on the EE app. The app showed that the stock's value increased significantly and so I sold the stock, expecting the stated value to reflect in my account. An hour or so later, the numbers completely changed and I had sold the stock at falsely stated values.

I mailed their very slow customer services and was told that there's nothing they can do about what happened.

Easy Equities doesn't allow clients to update contact details securely. I was asked to provide highly sensitive personal information via email to an unknown customer service worker.

The information they requested via email: ID number, email address used on the system, cell phone number on record, bank account details, whether I have a debit order, my last transactions on account, one stock in my portfolio.

I think requesting this information on an email is absolutely unacceptable.

I will probably remove my investments and invest with a safer, more trustworthy institution.

Such a terrible pity.
