no regard for safety

<p>i was at the east rand mall to do some shopping with my wife and four year old girl. We went to hayward jewelers. We were trying to get into the store but it was blocked by a ladder that was in the doorway with 2 guys busy working there. Thewe was no sign telling us to be aware "men working". I myself, a previous project manager know this is compulsory as per the standard safety reulation. I thought not to ask about it and went into the store, mhy wife was busy inside and after e few minutes we went out, but as we walked out the guy on the ladder started welding, with people inside the store. Sparks fell on me and luckely not my little girl. i dont mind the cables, and also didn't want to say anything about the ladder, but after the sparks fell on me, i decided to ask the guy next to the leaader where his sign was, needed for public works, not to even speak about the welding. "on the bakkie" he said in n rude voice, long story short i phoned the east rand mall offices, asked to speak to the manager, gave my number and as per usual, no one phoned me back... i will however take this to BENTEL Head Office and pursue this case. I didnt feel the need to but since no one bothers to call you back, there is nothing left to do. </p>
