East Rand Mall is not safe
<p>I was at your mall tonight with my wife and when trying to get into our uber at the entrance we were assaulted by meter taxi operators, clearly we were targeted and the security was no where to be found and to make matters worse the center let them flee the scene before police could arrive. Your allowed them to park their card inside your mall and wait for their victims and flee the scene. I know you have cameras outside your entrance and also at the boom gates on exit. I am at the police station trying to open a case but fell that you should also take blame for allowing such security to protect your valuable visitors.</p>

We apologise for the incident and thank you for informing us. We did have a meeting with the metered Taxi Association and despite their promises to adhere to the malls requests and procedures, this incident unfortunately occurred.
Our General Manager has contacted the Association this morning and has indicated if this type of incident happens again on our premises the meter Taxi’s will be denied access to East Rand Mall’s property and will be denied rights to operate from our centre.
