East London Quarry

We've just recently paved our driveway. We ordered sabunga and crusher dust from East London Quarry and they delivered on 29 June 2018 just before 5pm. My Husband and myself were at home as well as our domestic and garden boy. My Husband asked the driver if it was possible for him to drop off in the yard instead of on the street. He agreed and proceeded into the driveway with his 20 ton truck. He caused such damage to both of our entry walls, drove over a new pipe we had just inserted to go under the paving, and then into the side interior wall because of the angle he was driving. Finally after my Husband and the garden boy had directed him in, he dropped the sabunga and attempted to reverse and then drive straight out the driveway; bumping the top back of the truck into the barge boards on the side of the roof.

After constant emails from me to the manager, they eventually asked for a statement from us. The driver also wrote a statement obviously with the opposite story; that we demanded he enter our property. The manager and the driver finally came to our house about 4 weeks ago to assess the damage and try to figure out the true story. The manager stated that regardless of whether we insisted him to drive into the property, he is responsible of his truck and should know his capabilities. He should have consulted with his manager before doing anything. If the manager said it was not a good idea and we should take responsibility, then we would have. Or we would have had him dump outside on the pavement.

Since then I have phoned numerous times, only getting responses that they are waiting to hear from HO or that the owner is on leave.
