Disatisfied customer

I got a Christmas gift for my son gifted by my cousin, unfortunately the sizes where too small. i went to Chris Hani mall in vosloorus earth child to exchange. i was told they cant ssist me since it was a card purchase and they need the card holder to come exchange. i read the Ts&Cs and there is nowhere it states such. i am so disappointed .
