Refund delays

I called at suppliers office and requested a quote. I provided him with a sketch of the slab I needed to erect. His quote came in competitive. I booked and asked to pay a deposit equal to the hire which i did.The delivered equipment was substantially less than required. I cancelled order and was promised a refund of hire costs excluding the transport costs.The refund was not done whithin the week as promised. i had to go into their offices and demanded a refund on the 7th day. I thing the refund period is too long.I believe that I would not have been refunded had I not gone to their office.
