I took my vehicle to Eagle Ford after experiencing an overheating problem. Following their assessment, I was informed that several cooling system pipes were damaged and required replacement. I was presented with a quotation, which I approved, and the repairs were carried out. I subsequently collected the vehicle after being advised that the issue had been resolved. However, upon arriving home, I noticed that the temperature gauge was extremely high. After parking the vehicle, I also discovered a significant amount of water leaking from underneath the engine. I immediately contacted Eagle Ford and sent them photographs of the water on the ground. I was then advised to bring the vehicle back for a further assessment. On inspection, I was informed that a heater water pipe was damaged and needed replacement. Once again, I was presented with a quotation, which I approved as I needed my vehicle repaired. Unfortunately, after collecting the vehicle for the second time, I experienced the exact same problem. Upon arriving home, the vehicle was once again overheating. To date, I have paid in excess of R9,000 for these repairs. When I contacted Eagle Ford to report that the vehicle was still overheating despite the replacement of the cooling system pipes, I was advised that an outsourced service provider would conduct a further assessment and provide another quotation. I am not a mechanic, but it seems reasonable to question whether the repeated overheating may have caused additional damage, such as a blown cylinder head gasket, particularly if not all of the faulty cooling system components were identified and replaced during the initial repair. Given that I had to return the vehicle twice because another damaged pipe had been missed, I am concerned that the ongoing overheating and any consequential damage may be linked to an incomplete diagnosis or repair process. I would therefore appreciate clarity on whether it is fair and reasonable for me to be expected to bear the cost of further repairs, particularly if those repairs are required as a result of an issue that was not fully identified or resolved during the previous visits. In my view, Eagle Ford should take responsibility for investigating whether the current problem is related to the earlier repairs and consider covering the cost of any consequential damage arising from the continued overheating. All I need is a refund for all the money I have paid as the problem still persists. I look forward to your response and a fair resolution to this matter.
