Violent content on daytime television

<p>ETV has been showing crime documentaries that contain graphic violence on day time television. What sickens me is that the time slot they chose is one which is popular with children more so as it is the time when children have come bacķ from school. It has become a daily struggle to try to stop my six year old son from from watching this kind of documentary which goes by the name of "Unusual Suspects." What makes it worse is that unlike violent movies which are mostly fiction, stories aired on these documentaries are real. One day my son even said to me I am watching a ****er. I don't know why ETV does this especially on a free to air television where there is no means of parental control. I am not suprised at the increasing incidence of violence amongst children with TV stations such as ETV showing no regard for who watches their content. Why not put such documentaries at night when children are expected to have slept. I make my son to sleep at eight and I do so to protect him. However it is difficult to keep him away from content that is aired between 5:30 to 6:30.</p>
