Cold, **************, condescending and undeserving treatment at DysArt Boutique Hotel

My husband and I booked and paid for accomodation at DysArt Boutique Hotel located in Green Point, Cape Town. A day before we had fallen sick, immediately went to consult with our family doctor who examined and gave us a definite diagnosis. Our condition was infectious and can be passed onto others easily hence he advised that we not be in contact with other people until we have made full recovery. On the very same day, i notified the hotel that we won't be able to make it to the hotel the following day and supp**** both our medical certificates. And asked they note this. We were told we can't be refunded, which we were okay with and asked that we be accommodated at a later date, convenient for all of us. I called in and was attended to by Denis who was welcoming and gladly moved our date to the 25th Feb 2023. Only to receive a message from Vera saying that won't happen. She was so cold, unwelcoming, dismissive, shouting at me and not even willing to listen to what i have to say. She spoke over me the whole time, only what she says goes. She didn't even allow me to speak to the owner and reckoned there was no need. She listened to no point of reason. I am starting to feel better and called her this morning. She was so condescending, dismissive, and disregarding everything i needed to say. She informed me that they have requested Booking.com to remove the remarks and feedback which i had written after my interactions with her. But how, when all i was trying to do is alert others so they know the kind of establishment they truly are, and make an informed decision in future. Its so unfair when a hotel or personnel from it expecting you to forfeit your hard earned money, over being sick. Something which was beyond both my husband and I's control. When i did ensure that they are notified, not a day later but the very same we both got sick, consulted and diagnosed. It wasn't even the day on which we were supposed to check-in either. This is totally unacceptable and i won't be discriminated against by Vera and her unprofessional tactics.
