**** about medical aid network coverage
Went to DVO in Hartbee****rt medical centre, North West. Asked the receptionist whether they fall under discovery network, she said YES! I made an appointment, got my eye test - chose my frame, paid in on the frame (because I know my medical aid only pays R800 on the frame and the eye test).
A month later, I get a call from the very same receptionist, saying that my medical aid has rejected my claim... I phone discovery, they say this optometrist is not part of their network.
Now I have a invoice of R3000 to pay... all because they ****... to my face... If you need to go to a optometrist that has to be part of the discovery network, DO NOT GO to Dynamic Vision in Hartbee****rt. They will lie to you.

We apologist for only responding now as we had to contact the store and research your claim .
Sadly , you are not presenting the full facts.
A quote was presented to you that is, we have it on file and the reason your Medical aid did not pay the account is because you had a pair of spectacles made the previous year at Meyer optometrist. We can not track this information from medial aids as it is not available to us practitioners.
Unfortunately the responsibility has rely on customers advising of this .
We trust you find this in order and will accept our reply in the good spirit it is written.
We are happy to offer you a R500 voucher for future use on a completed pair of spectacle as a good gesture .
