Unacceptable "service" by Dynamic Pools (Worcester/Robertson)

On Thursday 15 December 2016 I drove from Montagu to Robertson to see if there is a pool shop where I can buy/order a chlorinator cell. Ended up at Dynamic Pools, which seems to be a company based in Worcester with a branch in Robertson. I was told that they keep it in stock since it is quite expensive (R2600), but that they can order it for me and that it will be in Robertson today, 19 December 2016. By about 12:45 I haven't heard from them and decided to call them. Got to the Worcester office and, yes, the chlorinator cell is there but their staff left for Robertson before the courier delivered it to the Worcester office. In short, I was told by the lady that they can't do anything about the situation. Point is that I need to have the chlorinator today because we are leaving tomorrow on a two day "road trip" and the Robertson office will be closed by the time we're back. Also, the Robertson office will be closed till January 4, by which time we will already have left Montagu.

This is for me a totally unacceptable way of handling a client. (1) If I didn't call them, they would not have called me to inform me about the situation. (2) The Worcester office should have known at what time the couriers normally deliver goods from Cape Town. Since all "hardware" that has to go to Robertson seems to be first delivered at the Worcester office, the staff at both the Worcester and Robertson offices should have known that there is a good chance of the item not being delivered at the promised time in Robertson. (3) It is completely unacceptable that the Worcester office expects the client to make a plan to get the item from the Worcester office.

If at all possible, I will not deal with these people again. Will get the chlorinator cell elsewhere.
