DSTV (DYNAMIC DISH Installation)

I called the guy by the name of Enoch ( ********** 778); on the 3rd of June when i had a problem viewing DSTV channels. Ive connected my explorer and it gave me an error, when i called Multichoice they said, the problem is with the communal settings, I then called the number i got from the developers at the complex.

Enoch said to me that, i will only pay if the problem is on my side (meaning with the decoder/explorer). And when chatting to him on the phone, he did ask if i have connected it properly. I then told him that when i was moving houses, the only thing i did was to disconnect what was connected on the wall so it is easier for me to connect it.

To cut the long story short, he send a guy to come though, When the guy get to the complex he told me that the problem is with my explorer switch. He even wanted to sell the switch to me for R750. But i told him that i will call them when am ready to buy the new switch. The next day, i then noticed that i was not the only one who had the same problem, and my DSTV was still not working, while watching it will just skip to the next channel with the same error message.

When I called Enoch he did not pick up, i then decided to take the decoder and the switch to Multichoice Randburg, when I get there I was told there is nothing wrong with my decoder or the switch. At that time I had already paid him R350, since he mentioned that if the problem is on my side ill have to pay.

Next day when i explain to him what has happened he admitted that it was a communal problem and it is now fixed and he will refund me my R350. Guess what, till today he hasn't paid me. When I call he will ignore my calls or lie to me. Last time I called, he said he won't give me money he is now charging me for petrol and "there's nothing for mahala".

It is best to always inform the client and not lie to them about what is not even the actual problem. How many people do these guys lie to? And still we pay.
