Unprofessional service, not knowing what's going on in their business!!!

This venue for weddings and kids parties is located just outside Paarl in the Western Cape. I saw them on Facebook. My daughters' birthday is in July, in winter and they boast about their nice indoor play pen. I live about 90 km from Paarl and decided to book with them. I contacted the number given on FB where after the lady (later explained by them to be a *********) charged me R3000 for the 3 hour party I wanted to book. Being a first time mom I thought wow its expensive but maybe its the going rate. She (the alleged ********* by the owners) then one evening around 20:00 sent me a WhatsApp asking for a R1500 deposit. The Saturday after making a deposit I saw on their FB page they advertised the kiddies venue for R1250. I immediately sent an WhatsApp asking why I had to pay R3000. Long story short, met with the owner promising to get the money form her no extra costs to me. My daughters party was canceled due to COVID 19 restrictions. I wanted to use a food truck but had lots of guests, the owner of the estate while meeting with me said they don't allow so many guests but if I used them It wouldn't be a problem. Now wanted me to get my own caters as their restaurant was closed due to COVID. She even told me she didn't even remembered If they got the deposit from the lady that worked there after sending me a message that they got the money. Needless to say I was skeptical about using them... I lost my deposit (more than the full rate of the venue for kids parties) These people are unprofessional and comes across as not knowing what is going on in their business. The new manager does not get back to you and lies to the owner about it or the owner does not know what's going on at her business. I will not recommend this venue if you want piece of mind and a professional experience. Horrible experience!!!!!
