always looking for a way to avoid the warranty

I had purchased a 300 lt solar geyser from a company called olive geysers. The warranty validating such a geyser was to be 10 years.Three years later when I have a burst geyser the supplier durotherm refuses to honour the warranty due to the solar panels not been supp**** by them although the geyser is. Exactly how does that work.I purchased a complete unit geyser, panels and brackets from their so called agent.The agent "olive geyser" offered me the warranty based on the warranty provided by the manufacturer" durotherm" i Paid a wopping +-R24000 for the geyser so I can save on my electricity bill however only to be harassed when their faulty geyser starts to leak. I even went the extra mile by ensuring that the installer for the geyser was a registered company affiliated to the supplier so in the event of a problem,i have peace of mind. How exactly was I to know that if the panels are not from the same supplier the guarantee does not stand. In South Africa the more you do things the correct way. The more its to your disadvantage.
