Durbanville Vloerdienste - DON'T!!! Be warned.

We contracted Durbanville Vloerdienste to do decorative screed flooring throughout our house, two separate areas, our braairoom and inside of house (kitchen, dining, living, questroom and hallway). 1. BRAAIROOM - our braairoom had alot of missing and loose tiles, we were in process to remove these tiles so that they can do selfleving and decorative flooring. We were advised not to continue they will work over the tiles. Once floor was complete the outline of the tiles were still visible, there was a differnece in floor level were tiles was and screed floor. Our front door could not open properly resulting in the floor getting sc****d and damaged. Porosity was present in the floor, some areas were smooth and gloss and other areas were rought and matt. We requested gloss finish. Edges and corner were not nicely covered, raw cement was still peaking through. 2. INSIDE HOUSE - more expensive option, epoxy color layer added. Tiles were present and was adequately covered and not visible. Once completed the floor was grey and not off white as we requested. The floor was FULL of porosity, hair and debris stuck in the floor. Epoxy paint started to chip off like nail polish, some areas were dirty and this was sealed into the floor. Corners and edges was unneat.

It took around 8 months of constant back and forth to get them to redo our floors. Currently our braairoom has been redone, not without its issues. They put a matt finish layer on, which was not as previous floor. This resulted in a dusty/powdery unmoppable finish, your dirty footprints soaked into the floor aswell water. After requesting a gloss finish, a satin finish was added. Water still soaking into the floor, they assured me it is waterproof and that the water soaking in is due to it being a new floor and this will improve over time.

Inside of house no date set of yet for redo. After knowing one of the owners for years, the business is extremely disappointing and their work of low standard, if any.
