Poor service from Durbanville Bodyworks - Bakwerke
Had a really poor experience with Durbanville Bodyworks - Bakwerke. Someone drove into the back of my wife's brand new Jimny in mid March 2026, after a long delay in getting parts from Suzuki we finally got our Jimny back, by the end of June 2026. It has been more than 3 months without a car and allowing Durbanville Bodyworks more than enough time to do a good job with the repair works of our vehicle (>1500km on clock). Despite this, Durbanville Bodyworks did a poor spray job on multiple sections, they did not bother to attend to damage on the roof and there is still covers missing under the vehicle which is default covers the Jimny's come out with.... Now we need to go back and forth with the panel beaters to get the remaining issues sorted, after more than 3 months of not having our brand new Jimny.

POOR SERVICE AND WORKMANSHIP
Poor service and mechanical damages to my BMW. My vehicle was towed to the Insurance approved service provider for minor bumper repairs, estimated at min R 11500.00. After a flat battery on the premises my car could not start ..My vehicle was towed and relocated to another service provider of my choice for further diagnostics .. it was discovered .. there was extended gearbox damages to the automatic gearbox -- since the automatic vehicle was towed and dragged across the workshop floor of Durbanville Bodyworks.. while in gear. The gearbox selector ribbon (often referred to as a flexible printed circuit or PFC) transmits signals between your gearshift knob and the transmission control module, controlling features like the Park lock and gear position displays. When selecting a replacement ribbon, compatibility is model-specific—you must match your exact gearbox/shifter type (e.g., electronic joystick, manual shift knob) and your vehicle's specific platform (like BMW F-series or Audi). ---- was damaged -- this is just a prelim diagnostics .. with costs sitting at R33640 already .. And now endless delays on getting feedback .. My next review will be on the insurance..
