Durban university of technology-one great disappointment

<p>I am a former student at DUT, i have obtained my National Diploma via DUT, approx 6 years ago.</p> <p>No part time Bachelors degree has been offered since, except 2 years ago( for a year and discontinued),</p> <p>Confirmation of part time studies was promised, so i register. After spending 4-5 hours in different ques as reqested only to find out, theres no part time studies avail. I was requested to find an alternate institute.</p> <p>Last year again, I contacted Dut and was promised day release classes (at least some sort of part time studies, i was going to register). on the day i was requested to register i enquire, Thankfully I did, just to hear no part time studies or day release classes are offered.(17/01/2017).</p> <p> </p> <p>What is WRONG with DUT, why offer students an oppertunity to study and discontinue at the last moment- DUT falsely promises student DEGREES and dont always cover all qualifications. Why offer diplomas when one can not obtain COMPLETED degrees/QUALIFICATIONS, and yet they promote masters (also bear in mind diplomas will be out phased by year 2020). Help students that would like to study!Peolpe work and can not leave their jobs for full time studies. If a course can not be completed, then dont offer it.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
