5 months delay - no communication - problem not resolved - ****

<p>I took three items to be repaired at Durban TV Repair Centre (Umgeni Rd, opposite Moses Mabhida stadium):</p> <p>1. Record player Pre-Amp box (faulty connection)</p> <p>2. CD player (Gemini) - 'No Disc' error.</p> <p>3. 16channel mixing desk (Behringer) - distortion on all channels, poor connectivity.</p> <p> </p> <p>1. Pre-amp was repaired within one month (I had to keep phoning to find out progress...poor communication)</p> <p> </p> <p>2. CD player took 3.5 months to repair (replacement part). Kept telling me it wold be ready, when I phoned they said it wasn't ready (for 2 months that went on). When I collected it, it worked once, then not again - took back.</p> <p>Took another 5 weeks to 'repair' again. When I collected it worked, but screen was skew.</p> <p> </p> <p>3. Mixing desk was allegedly fixed....after FIVE MONTHS! In the last three weeks I was told it would be ready within two-three days each time I called. Or that I would receive a call during the week when it was ready. I was never called by D TV Repairs. Always had to call them. Picked it up two days ago. Not fixed at all. Distortion still exactly the same. Some buttons were missing. Some *****s holding the case closed also missing.</p> <p> </p> <p>This company is clearly running a ****.</p> <p>Charging for 'repairs' that they are not doing.</p> <p>Poor communication.</p> <p>Cash only (trying to evade tax).</p> <p>It is an immoral business.</p> <p> </p> <p>Do not even chance it.</p> <p> </p> <p>***if anyone finds a better tech repair outlet in Durban, please let me know as I will NEVER take any gear to Durban TV Repair Centre again.</p> <p> </p>
