No Car, No Transport, 43 days later
My Suzuki Ertiga was flood damaged during the 10 Oct Storm. After being assessed, it was towed to Dbn Panel Beaters in Sydney Road, Durban. Firstly the damage was only the carpet and wiring that needs to be replaced. After further inspection air-con and alternator and other repairs were added. I was told on 28 Oct that they're waiting for parts from Joburgh. Was told it will arrive between 11 & 13 Nov. And the whole time telling me they don't have a courtesy car for me. My 30 Days car rental with Avis, vir Outsurance expired on 13 Nov. On the 9th or 10th Nov we were told our car will be ready Thursday, 23 Nov. Today, 22 Nov my Wife was informed that they now need to get another Part from Overseas!!! This is not acceptable. I'm not a puppet. Still no courtesy car available. Please! Your help urgently needed. Thanking you.

Please be advised that we had liaised with Mrs Aucamp since we were authorised to repair your vehicle. Parts were ordered when the authorisation to repair was received however the agents could not immediately supply the wiring loom and carpet. We proceeded to even contact management however were informed that the agents had to source the parts directly from their factory overseas. A courtesy vehicle could not be provided as we unfortunately do not have control over parts supply or their estimated time of arrival.
Please note that we will ensure that the vehicle is worked on as soon as the parts are received.
