Selling faulty cars
Last year begining of september i bought a second car from Durban North Auto Sales, the very same day i fetched my car from them it had a warning sign on the dashboard but i didn't know what it was untill my cousin told me it had something to with engine he the advised me to take the car back to the dealership, i called the dealer principal Michael and the sales Consultant to let them know, they said it's a sensor they will get someone to fix it, the mechanic came to remove or replace the sensor but he couldn't. Few days later the car started to overheat, steering was shaking as if it would come out while i was driving, there was a squeaky sound as if the tryes would come out so i had to take it back to them for repairs they said they will fix it, i didn't have a car for 2 weeks. They brought it back after two weeks the car had no oil the squeaky sound was still there, they said they suspecting suspension or steering rack they didn't fix it but they gave it back to me. I spoke to Michael the dealer principal asking if he can give me a car that is not faulty he refused, he said he cant just change cars i must use the car and if it's still giving me problems he might consider changing it. January this year started to overheat again, i had to pay + -R900 for two weeks for the courtesy car they gave me. when i told them i'm taking the car back to them the sales consultant Adrian confessed he said the reason why the car is giving problems is because it was involved in accident they first owned could not fix it properly. I was suprised because they didn't disclose that information from the beginning, when my boyfriend asked them about the history of the car they said the car is fine and never involved in accident they only telling me now that things are getting out of control. I struggled to get even the service book from them they were giving me excuses. Now they dont want give me a car that is on the same level as the one that i have they making choose on the cars that are cheaper than the one that i have and i will still pay the same installment. I dont understand why they giving customers false information and not honest about the history of their cars because as a lady and a first time buyer who dont know how to fix cars they should have told me the truth.
