DAY LIGHT ******* WITH CONSENT

We made a booking for a room and requested twin beds and a city view. Pictures of the city view showed the harbour. When we got there, there were no notice to notify that the back entrance should be used and we had to lug our luggage 360 degrees to the back entrance. What a shock to be told because we requested twin beds we must pay an extra R700.00 that is the reason for my headline. One cushion, no blankets, no headboard the wall served as headboard for the twin bed. The room was not cleaned one day everyday no towels we had to phone reception. When we asked to speak to a manager the receptionist refused to let us speak to a manager. They speak Zulu in your presence which should not be a guest should know what is being said about them. Zulu should be prohibited in the presence of guests. The view was of the court yard and buildings it took 50 minutes to book in and we had to wait 20 minutes before the room was ready well after 15H00. I know we are known for accepting poor service but I am not one to accept putrid service. My stay at this hotel was very unpleasant it is a old hotel and the locks on the windows are broken and with crime so rife this is an accident waiting to happen
