Boat cruise was nothing like advertised. We booked the 90min sea cruise, but got a expensive harbor tour instead. We specifically did not want a Harbour tour, we promised our kids a boat ride where they would have the opportunity to try and see dolphins and whales in the open ocean, not dirty Harbour water. Unfortunately this is exactly what we got. The skipper crawled the boat through the Harbour with only 1 engin running at ideal speed. Not regulated Harbour speed, ideal speed. We were the slowest boat in the Harbour by half any other. The cruise only lasted 75 of the advertised 90min and less then 15 of thise minutes where out side of the Harbour. The description of the cruise states that the boat will travel past the Durban staduim. We turn back within less then 600m of the Harbour entrance still kilometers away from the stadium. I don’t believe there was any realistic chance of seeing any sea life despite their description stating that the cruise offered good opportunity to see dolphins and whales.

We enjoy the time on the boat, but we left feeling very disappointed as the cruise fell far short of our expectations and was nothing as advertised.

We did not feel we got any value for the money we paid and will not support or recommend Durban Cruise Boat in future.
