MULTIPLE EXCUSES NOT TO REPLACE BATTERY

I have purchased a duratec battery 650 (2YW) a year ago, took it back yesterday for a warranty claim but the people that helped me in the store ''Johnny'' & ''Ben'' had many excuses not to replace the battery. After a long argument they stated that I have misused the battery and damaged it (Hammering). The battery was installed by Duratec Batteries in Polokwane and they are now passing the buck by letting me directly deal with the head office and refused to attend to my problem, They also said I should wait until the 18th December so that they could send the battery to HO for inspection and only after that they could give me a replacement battery. I believe there was nothing wrong with my money when I had purchased the battery and so should there procedures be when claiming a faulty battery. The head office does not answer there phones nor cell numbers and still today have had no response from any employee or agent of the company.
