Bad service

in mid-January 2025 I requested a quote from Moving 24. I subsequently received estimates from various service providers. I then chose to go with Simply Dunn as I was in communication with Lance via phone calls and WhatsApp; he then sent two of his agents to come to my residence and assess so he could provide me with a quotation. The quotation amounted to R12767. 90; during my conversation with Lance, I explained that I had found a place in Cape Town and that I planned to arrive in Cape Town on Friday, February 28, 2025, and that I would send him the address. I then informed him once I secured a place on Sunday. He agreed that I would receive my belongings on Monday. On Monday, he then mentioned they would deliver on Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning I received a call from him insisting that I send an additional R4970. 70. If I did not, I would not receive my valuables; I attempted to negotiate with him and pay the amount in installments, but he declined. At one point, I was concerned he might be a **** and reported the issue to the police. Tuesday morning he called, insisting that I need to send the money so I would receive my valuables, and I did. Only to discover that all my valuables were damaged.
