Very disappointing service by Dunlop

I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received from Dunlop Express MTS Tyre Services in Burgersfort (R37).

We took our bakkie in for wheel alignment only, but when we got it back, the steering wheel had been opened and the hooter was completely damaged — something that was working perfectly before. When we returned to the workshop, we were told the work had been done by an inexperienced technician, and they promised to fix the issue.

We were advised by the manager to get a repair quote. We went to Toyota, but the quote was rejected as "too expensive." Instead, the manager insisted we go to a place he recommended that was supposedly cheaper. We agreed in good faith, but the repair job was poor — and the hooter broke again shortly after. Now the vehicle is left without a hooter.

I escalated the issue to Mr. Andre, who initially handled the matter well and assured us it would be resolved. But after handing it over to Mr. Jannie, things went downhill. We were told that since we agreed to take the vehicle to the place the manager recommended, Dunlop would no longer assist us. It felt like the blame was shifted to us for following their own manager’s advice. Very dissaponted
