Dont Use them if you value your life

On the 19th of December 2019 I took my car to Northgate Tyres In Strydom park,Randburg- Dunlop Zone to get my shocks fitted.

I did shop around as there are numerous places which fit shocks in the area,however I settled with Dunlop because of the name, I trusted this brand,grew up with it.

After they fitted the shocks and I picked the car up I drove to pick my wife up,on route I heard a sound that didn't seem quite right. After picking her up ...she also heard that and suggested we go back to Dunlop. Luckily we dont stay far and on our way back my left front tyre came off.

Thankfully there was no cars in front or pedestrians walking by as the tyre flew off. I managed to control the car. My front fender was damaged,along with my rim.My wife in a panic and myself shook up from the experience.

I called them to come assist me,which they did. The Manager and Owner said they will sort it out,which they did. This was 6 days before Christmas and I needed the car. I dont have another vehicle and needed it back. I had to take a day off so they could fix it to be mobile as they didn't have a courtesy car for me. I was told only around the 16th of January they will assist. I had no other choice.However the experience was cold and not one of empathy. When I received the car this past Monday ... the owner didn't have the decency to walk me out to see if I was satisfied. I requested for a full refund on fitting of the shocks,the for the ordeal and convenience they caused...which he said he cant . I also realised that a part of the car was missing during this time.

I confronted them about it and once again, they refused to take accountability. This experience with Dunlop was shocking to say the least. They didn't even give me an update to the car, if anything was damaged through the impact of the tyre coming off.

I have had this car for 6 years and not an accident. After this experience I dont feel safe in this car. How do you allow people like this to represent your brand.

Just to mention I dont think I was the only one as when I initially hot there ... another client didn't seem happy with the job they did on his mustang.

So disappointing...will never trust Dunlop again
