Buy Dulux now, beg for good feedback later
My house built in a golf estate was completed mid Oct 2013. Dulux is an approved brand at the estate. The builder & I consulted with Dulux on the paint colour shades and type. Over the course of time, hair line cracks were found which were repaired. However paint portions of the exterior walls are in a poor state. I approached Dulux to assist as it was a guaranteed product. The builders foreman and I met the Dulux representative on the 27th February 2015. I was told that the repairs would cost me not a cent. Dulux would liaise with the builder and resolve the matter. I was informed that this matter would be handed over to Johan from sales as Francois believes the issue is not technical. On the 1st April I responded to an email requesting further information.Thereafter, to date I have received no feedback from Dulux nor the builder. The paint continues to deteriorate. I have paid for a premium product that has been purchased from a reputable chain (Mica) and a Dulux rep advised on the type and application at time of painting after looking at the plastered walls. Why is there no positive feedback. Is there collusion between the builder and Dulux to avoid financial accountability?
