Blind person with guide-dog not welcome

we were deeply offended by the staff this morning when we attempted to visit the restaurant. especially since we had never experienced problems at other branches of the franchise. I am blind and have a fully trained guide-dog which I obtained from the SA Guide-dogs Association for he Blind. At the time of our attempted visit the dog, a well-behaved Labrador, had her harness on with a clear sign stating that she is a trained, working guide-dog. It is a cold, rainy day in Dullstroom, yet the staff member advised us to sit outside. We told him that it was unpleasant outside and he then suggested that we sit inside, but at the door where there was a draft and we would have been right in the way of people entering. My friend told the waiter that it was ******* to discriminate against guide-dogs and their owners. We asked to speak to the manager, but were told that she was on holiday. He also said that he was afraid to disobey the manager’s orders. We then decided to leave.
