Piece of broken glass in a milkshake!
I had sent back a glass of milkshake because the glass had a chip on it. Instead of a new milkshake being prepared and served to me, it was simply poured out into a different glass resulting in me almost swallowing a piece of glass at Dulce at the Cape Town International Airport.Taking into account that most if the patrons to this restaurant are international travellers does this not warrant more than just an I'm sorry? I was so traumatised by this experience I have had to seek medical help. Had I swallowed this piece of glass and suffered from internal bleeding or even died as a result- would this still be the type of response one would receive? After complaining to head office on the 02nd Oct- I still await feedback! So much for protecting the brand? This is revolting service on all ends!
Dear Charmaine thank you for our chat this morning - I have reverted on email as discussed earlier.
We have put full policies and procedures into place at the store to ensure that this sort of incident hopefully will not happen again.
I look forward to hearing back from you further on my email.
