Poor customer service from Due South

Due south canal walk did not have a sneaker in the size I needed. They sourced the size at the Somerset West branch. This was on 11 Dec 2018. I said it was a gift so I needed it for 16 Dec and the assistant promised it would definitely be at canal walk by Friday 14 Dec. Having not heard from the store, I went to canal walk on the 15th only to be told that Somerset West made a mistake and didnt send it. I was told to go and fetch it in somerset west. I then said I would expect them to make a plan to get it to canal walk. At which point the story changed to it being the couriers fault as it had been given to them but they did not deliver. Furthermore the courier was closed till the 17th. I asked for a manager only to be told all were off for the long weekend. I therefore sat with no gift for the 16th. I asked for a manager to call me and am still waiting. As a customer who spent in excess of R2000 on the day, I will never shop at Due South again. Clients clearly aren't important to them.
